Its difference

No Ray is the only protective sun balm with a 100% natural and vegetal formula. Without chemical filters (endocrine disruptors) or minerals (nanoparticles capable of crossing all the defense barriers of our body) and therefore without danger for your skin and the planet. The molecules contained in our synergy of organic plants, allow to absorb the solar rays, just as the usual solar filters do. It is the same way of functioning from a physical point of view but without the risks associated with conventional filters. These filtering molecules are naturally present in our plants to protect their DNA from UV. We have selected, assembled and concentrated them in such a way that they constitute our 100% plant-based sun filter.

Its use

Apply generously to your body skin before exposure and reapply every two hours or after swimming. It is possible to swim after application because No Ray is water resistant.
For use from 6 years of age, before this age avoid direct exposure to the sun as much as possible. Not suitable for pregnant women. Do not apply to the face. Limit exposure to the sun between noon and 4pm, overexposure to the sun is a serious threat to health. Do not stay too long in the sun, even if you use a protective product. UV rays contribute to premature skin aging. The product is packaged in a 200mL jar and contains 100mL of product. With the heat, it can become fluid and thus be distributed less uniformly in the jar. It is therefore normal that the product does not fill the jar completely.

Deserves an instruction manual

I was so excited to find (and test!) a sunscreen oil without filters. Until then I used to prepare it myself but without much reproducibility...
At the first use I was VERY surprised because the oil has a white effect on the skin quite disconcerting... I thought I had used too much. But in fact not at all. You have to massage it in (and it stays white...) then when you stop the color disappears and you are protected... In short, the first time, not enough oil, no massage and feeling of warmth rather quickly (so escape from the sun as much as possible... note that it is a way to protect yourself too...). The following times, I protected my children better but they didn't take enough time to massage my back so sunburn for me... (light tan for them).

Even if it goes away in the wash, the cream stains everything it touches...
Moreover, I don't know if it's normal but I have crystals that have formed, the texture is not homogeneous...
Finally, it should be written in bigger letters that the cream is not intended for the face (my son made the bitter experience of it...).

These precautions taken, the oil has well protected my children from the Sri Lankan sun (so not the sweetest...), its smell is pleasant and we are sure to be able to bathe without impacting the environment...

Good initiative but not convincing

I love the idea, the slightly oily texture is not too disturbing, the smell is pleasant but it stains clothes and if you have it on your hands you stain everything you touch.
Is there a way to remove this stain? So I have a huge jar that I don't use.
Can't wait for the next version 😉

I'm glad you like our products! For the traces, we recommend you to avoid the contact of your protection with clear or delicate clothes. However, if you see yellow marks on your clothes, rub the stain with dishwashing liquid and leave for 1 hour before washing. If the stain persists, dilute 1 tablespoon of baking soda in 400ml of water and spray on the stain before washing.

Indeed, the creamleft some marks on my clothes last summer and it heats up my face a bit but I didn't find it very disturbing. However, when you apply it, it whitens the skin all of a sudden, but if you massage it in well, it fades away perfectly.
What I love about this creambesides the fact that it is 100% vegetal, is that it smells great, its protection is very effective (not a single sunburn with regular application), you only need a small dose to cover a large area of skin, and I ended the summer with a nice tanned complexion! That's why this year I'll use exactly the same one :)

Conventional suncare products always contain chemical or mineral filters.

- Chemical filters are suspected endocrine disruptors and carcinogens. Frequently allergenic, they regularly cause sun intolerance. Most often, they mimic the action of the female hormone called oestrogen and have a strong correlation with the appearance of oestrogen-dependent cancers (breast, ovaries, uterus...).
- Mineral filters are made up of nanoparticles that are able to cross all the defence barriers of our body: intestinal, encephalic, skin, placenta... And to reach, via the blood, the cells of all our organs. The body is unable to eliminate them. Researchers compare nanoparticles of titanium dioxide to asbestos and the ANSES (National Agency for Health Safety of Food, Environment and Work) considers titanium dioxide in nano form as carcinogenic. Links have been established between exposure to nanoparticles and respiratory infections, weakening of the immune system, acceleration of cell oxidation, and even alteration of DNA. It is also important to know that the regulations define an ingredient as non-nano particulate, with the addition of the mention NON NANO in the INCI list, as soon as it contains less than 10% of nano particles. Mineral filters therefore all contain nanoparticles, and the products indicated without NANO, simply contain filters with less than 10% nanoparticles.

No Ray has been tested In-Vitro and In-Vivo by an independent laboratory specialising in suncare cosmetics and has proven to filter out over 90% of UV rays. However, although proven, regulations prohibit us from mentioning this sun protection on the packaging because our formulas do not contain any chemical or mineral filters required for a sun product. We refuse to include these ingredients in our formulas as they are harmful to health and marine life. The protection of our sunscreens is 100% vegetable and equally effective against UVA and UVB.

No Ray has been tested In-Vitro and In-Vivo by an independent laboratory specialised in sun cosmetics and has demonstrated a filtration of over 95% of UV rays. Thanks to its richness in protective plant oils, such as Karanja, Buriti, Coconut or Raspberry oil, No Ray sun balm protects you effectively against UVA and UVB rays.

The molecules contained in our organic plant synergy absorb the sun's rays, just like the usual sun filters. It's the same way it works from a physical point of view but without the risks associated with conventional filters. These filtering molecules are naturally present in our plants to protect their DNA from UV. We have selected, assembled and concentrated them so that they constitute our 100% plant-based sun filter.

For optimal effectiveness, we advise you to reapply after each swim and every two hours.

No Ray doesn't contain the mineral filters that cause white streaks in sun creams. So there's no chance of ending up with white skin on the beach after applying cream ! On the contrary, its natural yellow-orange color gives skin a natural tan. Beware, however, that its tint can stain! We recommend avoiding contact with light-colored or delicate clothing. However, if you do notice yellow marks on your clothes, rub the stain with washing-up liquid and leave for 1 hour before washing. Some of the plant ingredients we have selected have another special feature: they activate the blood circulation. These ingredients are really essential for good UV protection. In fact, they are more concentrated in the No Ray Balm than in the Hello Sunshine Oil.

When using the sun balm, some of our testers with more sensitive and reactive skin noticed a sensation of heating or even tingling when applying it to the face (not the body). Although this is harmless, for the sake of comfort we have chosen to recommend our No Ray sun balm for use on the body only.
