100% of natural ingredients at the heart of our formulas
At oOlution, we can say that we have the sense of the formula! The creation and formulation of our products was our first challenge. The formula of a cosmetic is its recipe. When we cook, we combine vegetable oil, vegetables, spices, condiments and many other ingredients... to make a balanced and delicious meal.
100% natural formulas
At oOlution, there are no cooks, but engineers ready to break all the codes with the motto: 100% natural. Rare are the cosmetic brands that make their own formulas. The cosmetic formulas are standardized: the same base is often found in several brands, with a 2% of active ingredients and perfume as the only variables. The remaining 98% are most often filler ingredients. At oOlution, we take the time to create the best ones, challenging even the organic labels!
To respect our specifications, we have established a
list of ingredients that we refuse to use.
0% filler ingredients
Filling a skincare product with ingredients that are of no interest to the skin
and/or problematic for the environment, no!
Always with the aim of reducing production costs,
cosmetics, even organic ones, choose to fill their products with less expensive oils, such as esterified or hydrogenated oils derived from palm oil or
from petrochemicals. In oOlution's skin care products, each ingredient
and/or active ingredient is beneficial for our skin and 100% natural.
0% dangerous or controversial ingredients
It is unthinkable for oOlution to build formulas
with ingredients that are harmful to our skin but also to our health. That's why our products contain no synthetic ingredients or endocrine disruptors: no parabens - no phenoxyethanol - no sodium benzoate - no potassium sorbate - no aluminium salts - no alum stone - no phthalates - no sulphates - no methylisothizolinone - no BHT - no EDTA - no silicones - no mineral filters - no chemical filters. Non exhaustive list ;)
0% palm oil and derivatives
We are the first cosmetic brand in the world
to categorically refuse the use of palm oil and its derivatives
in all our products. In 2013 we
received the "coup de coeur du jury" award (Prix
and the Environment) by the French Ministry of
of Ecology.
Palm oil in cosmetics represents 23% of the world production. The
palm cultivation
is responsible for the destruction of biodiversity in
Indonesia and Africa.
In cosmetics, it is sadly used as a "filler" ingredient
to create cheaper skin care products.
0% animal products: vegan and cruelty free products
No animal has been, is or will be used, harmed or have its habitat destroyed in the creation of our products.
Being bold in refusing all these ingredients and practices does not
prevent us from being generous, it is quite the contrary actually.
Our skin care products are made with 30 to 70 organic or sustainably harvested plant
to treat our skin to numerous
virtues!
Taking the decision to create skin care products rich in a diversity of plants allows us to create skin care products that are suitable for all
all skin types. This way, we avoid overloading our range with
categories and offer effective skin care products
for everyone.
Our formulation charter, more demanding than the organic labels
Today, there are several labels that regulate organic cosmetics. These labels give a reference to consumers and can guide a purchase. In order to be labelled, you must meet a set of specifications. So why doesn't oOlution have a label? Quite simply out of intransigence, because our own formulation charter goes beyond the organic labels in terms of requirements.
The Slow Cosmétique® label
oOlution is one of the pioneers of the Slow Cosmétique® label!
The Slow Cosmetics movement promotes ecological and responsible
and responsible consumption of cosmetics.
The Slow Cosmétique® label is awarded when a brand meets
a majority of the criteria set out in the official Slow Cosmetics
Cosmetics Charter.
The Charter is based on 4 pillars:
- Ecological cosmetics (no pollution, no toxicity
petrochemicals or plastic chemistry, natural ingredients, organic,
minimally processed, short and local cycles),
- Reasonable cosmetics (realistic promises, zero
greenwashing, ethics and fair pricing),
- Intelligent cosmetics (meets the skin's real needs
positive contributions to the skin),
- Healthy cosmetics (respect for living organisms, no endocrine
endocrine disruptors).
